The Most Wonderful Time of the Year?

Back to School means it’s time to get shopping. It’s time to get the kids off to school. Back to School means big business, too. Did you know that families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average $684.79 according to The National Retail Federation?

Here at Shopper Matters we love Back to School. This season is perfect for our on-going “Shopper Snapshots” Series. Below are some of our favorite images from the 2018 Back to School season so far. Take a look and be sure to check back for more as the season progresses.

STOCK UP ON SUPPLIES

Did you know total spending for K-12 schools and college combined is projected to reach $82.8 billion? That’s a lot of pens, notebooks and sticky notes.

SCHOOL CAN BE DIRTY WORK

All Aboard the Candy Bus

There is no denying that kids love candy. So, time to get on the candy bus and get to school, right? In 2018, the number of school bus merchandising displays was at an all time high.

interesting name choice

Clearly this brand is targeted at moms to buy for Back to School lunches. We’d hate to be the parent who bought the ‘unsafe’ for school sweets for sure!!!

Hope for hunger

September is Hunger Action Month. And, unfortunately, for good reason as many low-income families live on the brink of hunger and rely on schools to provide kids needed food.
